Updating symbols' industry, sector market or indices is very simply. In the main menu, select "Symbol", "Update" then update the appropriate fields and once done click on the "Update" button. You can create new industries, sectors, markets and indices by selecting "Symbol" then "Categories". Example on how to create the S&P 500 Index and associate symbols to it: - Select "Symbol" then "Categories" - Select "Indices" tab, type "S&P500" then click on "Add". - Select "Symbol" then "Manage Symbols" - Click on "Select Symbols" - In the Symbols Filter, select "Custom Symbols" then add all the symbols that belong to the S&P 500 (You can find this list on the Internet) and click on "Select". - Right click on the "Index" Column and select "Select All". - In the "Update selected cells" input, type "S&P500" then click on "Update" Indices are separated by "|", so if the symbols you have selected already belong to other indices: - Type "|S&P500" and click on "Append" instead of "Update".
