Each time you download new quotes, QuantShare calculates internally several measures. One of these measures is the "Days since last quote", which is the number of days since the last trading date of a security occurred. We can define non-active securities as the ones that are no longer listed on exchanges or the ones that are no longer updated. Another definition would be to say that every stock, futures or ETF whose "Days since last quote" is higher than 5, is a non-active security. How to remove non-active securities: - Select "Symbol" then "Manage Symbols" - Click on "Select Symbols" button - Add a "Quotes" condition (remove other conditions) - Click on the cell under "Values" column and select "Days since last quote" - Update the minimum and set a value of "5" - Click on "Select" to displays non-active stocks - Make sure that these symbols are the non-active stocks that you want to remove from your database - Under "Filter" panel, click on "Select" to check all symbols - Click on "Remove selected symbols" - Click on "Yes" to remove non-active securities
